Everything you need to know before your visit to Les Saisons
Fishing Rules
We ask all anglers to follow these rules to protect our fish and preserve the experience for everyone.
- Landing nets: minimum 42 inches. All nets must be dry on arrival.
- Unhooking mats must be used at all times — no exceptions.
- No artificial or plastic baits of any kind.
- Micro-barbed hooks only.
- No fixed lead setups — safety rigs at all times.
- Fish care is paramount — treat every fish with the utmost respect.
- Night fishing is permitted on all swims.
- Keep noise to a minimum and respect fellow anglers.
Bait Rules
Please follow our bait guidelines to ensure the health of the lake and its fish.
- All natural baits are allowed — boilies, pellets, maize, tigers, etc.
- Particles and nuts must be properly prepared before arrival.
- Bait should be used in moderation — no excessive baiting.
- Bait boats are permitted but must be used considerately.
- Spod and spomb use is allowed.
Travel & Directions
Les Saisons is easily accessible from the Channel ports — a straightforward drive through the French countryside.
Route from Calais
Approximately 3 – 3.5 hours via the A26 and A4 motorways. A straightforward drive with well-signed routes throughout.
Nearest Town
Vitry-le-François — just a 10-minute drive. Supermarkets, fuel, tackle supplies and restaurants are all available.
Ferry & Eurotunnel Tips
Both Dover–Calais ferries and the Eurotunnel are excellent options. We recommend booking crossings well in advance during peak season (May–September). Early morning crossings allow you to arrive by lunchtime.
